I can’t see him being as good as Klopp / Pep with his signings. Plus Man U need to catch up with those two in terms of squad quality.

Why not ? British and Scandinavian players will still want to sign as its Utd.
I’d imagine Utd fans would be quite happy with some players like Ole , Ronny Johnson , Denis Irwin , Bruce.
Whether the FIFA playing generation of fans would be happy with non global superstars is another matter.

I suspect you’re right, but we just don’t know, do we? That’s what I find so extraordinary about him getting the gig, there are a bazillion question marks over what they’re getting.
OTOH, and fool could have told you that agent Moyes was gonna end badly.

Rashford is very young and raw. A long way from being any kind of finished article. But they need to persist with him (although maybe not for every match) such that he can improve.
City play Fulham. Why would you not include Aguero and/or Sterling?
Rashford’s goals stop when Lukaku plays. He scores more when Lingard and Martial play, as they create space for him and his pace. Lukaku lumps around slowly and eats space in front of the 18 yd box.
Lukaku tends to come inside and so Rashford has to move to the wing.
Strikers are not machines and go through dry patches, and as has been said he is only 21.

If I was United, I would refuse to deal with certain agents and just shut them out. We have enough great youngsters that we don’t need these players.
I would also refuse to sell to Barcelona and Real Scum full stop. Real think they can get him for less than Euro70M, they are in dreamland. They have no cash at all as the bank statements they issue are a week before the six monthly player pay goes out and they go negative at the bank. They can’t even afford Euro400M for the ground re-design and the Spanish banks have stopped lending to them as the long term loans (never stated by Real) are not being paid off. Real only state short term debt. In reality they are about Euro500m in debt.
