Fuck off with that.

Gabriel Agbonlahor retires after 8 months of not finding a club stupid enough to pay £50K a week to a fat striker who has lost his pace (his one trick).

Never unstood why Villa kept him on, he was truely awful in front of goal.

Nor me. We all groaned when he was given a 5 year bumper contract out of which he played very little and really only came on to play and score against the Blues and Baggies.

So he needed to achieve two hugely damaging defeats in a row before he got the gig.

Remind me again what Klippity has won with Liverpool since 2015?

Hugely damaging? They got through the PSG tie somehow. It was disappointing to go out of the cup & more so to lose to Arsenal but neither are the end of the world.

What we haven’t heard from Solskjaer is any crowing about how it’s all sorted & Utd are back to what they were. He’s more aware than anyone of the shortcomings of that squad & I’ve no doubt he’ll be looking to freshen it up over the summer. But at least all the players appear to want to be there now & I imagine that’s been a big deal for the owners. I’m also not sure who, of the managers that might be available this summer, would do a better job for the club.

Well the real pressure will be on him now Guy but as long as he has Phelan as a coach it could go well.

Good appointment. They’ve saved themselves Ā£40m into the bargain.

???

edit: ah, ok. You mean compo to Daniel Levy

FWIW I’d pay 40m for Poch over feck all for OGS all day and every day.

Paying off another club to get Mr Big.

The value is another guess presented as fact I expect.

Ooh, Mr. Butthurt still smarting.

Its called basic research. A concept unfamiliar to the gammon.

That’s says 34 and my arse does hurt but it’s from climbing trees.

I have been Klopp’s biggest critic since day one - he won’t win a thing at Liverpool to the day he leaves imo.:weary:

Besides, Jose won two trophies with United so does that mean you think he should still be in charge?

I’m not sure signing players is Ole’s strong point. Time will tell.

I imagine he’ll put a list of players he’d like to Ed Woodward (and would probably have to justify them as part of an overall plan) & then Woodward will go away & see who he can get. I don’t think managers (certainly not in the PL) do the direct dealings very often these days

Don’t worry, Ed Woodward’s ace at signing players

Meanwhile, made me laugh

I worry about the list he would put together.

Why? Obviously he can be more ambitious regarding targets than he could’ve been at Cardiff or Molde. I’d also imagine he’d be discussing it with Phelan, Carrick & others at the club.

No manager gets every signing right but I can’t see why Solskjaer would do worse than Mourinho, Van Gaal or Moyes.

Maureen likes 28-30 year old players as he is only staying 2 -3 seasons so doesn’t give a shit about re-sale value or future planning. The idiot Woodward got Sanchez at 29 and we came within an inch of a Spuds centre half at Ā£40m Alderweireld who is 30.

Fred is best forgotton.

Maureen, quality signings r us.
