I walked the dog about 4km - drive there, park for free, charge for free, exercise dog and self, take photos with son. Return to car 15% higher than when I arrived. Win.
The series where the literally gutted a model S and looked at everything went so deep. If you have a few weeks spare, itâs worth a watch ![]()
Sandy is hero worshipped by the Tesla lobby groups.
Just binged four episodes. Seems pretty impartial, likes the drive and some bits, other bits less so. Nothing major wrong with it, but why Tesla still have these issues this far down production I have no idea. Although interesting how quickly they are improving and updating as they go.
Blimey. I didnât know they are still producing cars with such varied panel gaps. Thatâs as bad as my mk3 Mondeo of 15+ yrs ago.
They used the term of a Kia from the 90s when referencing the Tesla S
The Kia Pride from that era was co-engineered by Ford/Mazda with Ford Festiva and Mazda 121 derivatives ![]()
Ha these are marvellous.
To be fair even 15 years ago Ford had still had 100 years practice.
Looks nice and all, but another big âcrossoverâ yawn. Cars are too big
Canât see anything innovative at all. Looks similar to a Lexus UX.
True, this is why I love the i3. But I still think it looks wonderful, maybe theyâll bring out a smaller version, not that I can afford one.
Maybe, everything about it just looks right to me.
Itâs okay.
At the moment the only two EVs that have me itching to sink money into what is a very rapidly developing market are the Honda e and Tesla Cybertruck
Not exactly practical choices then Wayne.
Depends doesnât it, how you regard practical, and what your needs are.
We tend to have one little car and one bigger one to cover the bases. Lets say if I never/ rarely had to travel to client site again for business, then a small urban car like the Honda would easily manage 80-90% of my local travel needs, and then the Tesla would handle the transporting dogs, bigger stuff, towing something for camping etc, albeit in a daft OTT post apocalyptic style.
My parents (well, my Dad. My Mother wants an electric MINI) are looking at the Honda for the same reason. Itâs completely able to handle almost every journey they make and they still have the Civic for longer range stuff.
True enough Wayne. Do you think the Tesla will actually be produced? I think itâs bloody awful and when I first saw it I thought it was a joke. One Manâs meat
etc.
Well your first response was itâs not practical, but did you really mean itâs not likely?!
I think there will be a Cybertruck, I agree it divides opinion, but I have no idea to what extent the design and spec of the show truck will actually make it into production.
I can see us replacing our two cars with EVs in the next couple of years but ideally Iâd like them to be the last cars I need to buy (but yes I know thatâs not going to happen and the industry isnât thinking about making stuff built to last etc anyway, and the tech is going to develop at some pace in the next 20 years). The Honda E looks top of the list and is a car that although on paper isnât class leading the overall design is just great.
