The Milk Float Thread

I just came off Agile, it’s not working out brilliantly with so many people at home. Had to go in standard tarrif for 30 days before k can get on Go because of ‘reasons’.

They’re a bit weird with their communications it seems. Some people have been able to get straight on to Go, others told something completely different.

The lack of wind and cold temps the last week have crushed the Agile pricing. Pretty eye-watering rates.

Go is obviously a lot more reliable, Agile is roulette.

Exactly. We have a hot tub so agile worked for filtering the water at night etc but last week I was seeing £10 a day on electricity so pulled the plug. The nice lady on email blamed everyone for being at home and demand being high.

If you’re a new customer you need to go on a standard tarrif, soon as you’re on you can swop immediately.

I can send you a link to sign up with and we both get £50 if you want?

At some point I need to run the data through to check how Agile would have worked compared to Go on our usage since the battery went in. I am not sure that it would be cheaper from what I can see of the general rates.

I didn’t know you were on it mate. I’ve already promised my referral to another fair maiden, otherwise yes.

No worries at all :slightly_smiling_face:

We are on go. Had a proper fannying about getting the meter to talk to the network.

I like the certainty. It’s easy to make sure the car charges only in the 4 hours and we don’t stray outside this.

My dealer tells me slightly “lower” cost (starting at £70k) Taycan now available…

I still don’t think I’d buy an expensive electric car that didn’t have access to the Tesla network though.

It’s slow for £70k by EV standards. 0-60 in 5.4s.

i noticed when i was looking at the spec… if you compare with another EV. If you compare with the slowest panny that is about 5.6s

matters not Taycan is ugly in the flesh. Parked behind one at the OPC when i took the 911 for a service last week.

The smugness of waking out to a defrosted warm car and waving at the neighbours scrapping ice of their car this morning.
It’s like the South Park Prius episode. Love it

18 months ago I sent an email to my local councillor, Chris White, saying that we should have EV charging points at the local leisure centre. It’s a great location - as well as the leisure centre it’s also the parking of choice for the local park that has a café. Prior to lockdown we would park here several times a week for at least an hour, so it’s generally great for charging.

Local news yesterday:

And the chargers are even free for now :sunglasses:

How many miles do you have to walk?

Why didn’t they invite you for the photo?

I think that’s obvious.
