The Milk Float Thread

:sob: would be nice.

Ionic is efficient though.

Extended the lease another year.

Yeah, but Jaaaaaaaaaaaag.

At just going to the shops - under 10k miles in what, 3.5 years!? With little to no motorway driving efficiency does really increase.

Honestly must be the perfect car for your circumstances, all its flaws re range and slow charging are irrelevant if you’re just pottering about.

The i4 has managed 3.4m/kWh in 13k miles now, in 15-months (only ~500 miles I think since Christmas though). Pretty happy with that for a non-ground up EV platform and a mix of ~40mile commute on 50/60mph A-Roads and town driving.

The DT manages 3.3 over my round trip 42 mile commute, 30 miles of which is at 70mph, heater on, no thought given to economy. Slow down to 60 and avoid using all the power to acelerate and it’ll get to 4.

That said the 100% range has dropped, used to show 238 with a trip computer reset, it now shows 212.

Anyone else noticed a range reduction?
DT is 30months old with 21k

No it’s got about 30k on now. But it does very little motor way. That was just the only photo I had from the last longer drive I did.

It’s ideal because it’s still under £200 a month including maintenance. Very cheap.

Wow, thats great!
I thought £271 with maintenance was good going. (10K a year)

How many miles over a year?

It’s a lease, 8000 miles a year although this next year I’ve asked for 10k. Next year it will be £189 a month including maintenance and tires.

ours is a lease too,
£271 - 10K with servicing & tyres etc.
I’ll probably extend it again in 12 months, I hope it’ll drop further. (initally was 320 a month)

Apart from the temperature related reductions, yes.
Mine is 2.4 years old and total range has dropped by 20%.

I have followed the recommended 20-80% charging regime but the reduction is obvious.
When it was serviced in November last year, the battery assessment stated that the condition was excellent and better than average.

Frankly, I can’t wait until the end of my contract next year.

Are you going to go for another EV or have you had your fingers burned?

No range loss on the ionic.

Mine’s lost about 5% in 3 years/40k miles.

Nor has mine.

My lease finishes around when I plan to retire. I won’t be getting another. We will become a one car home.

It has given me cheap commuting but I can’t say that it’s been my favourite car.

My Taycan has averaged 3.0 m/kWh in the 7000+ miles since I got it.
Still consider it the best car I’ve ever owned overall. Too wide and heavy but it hides it well.

Impressive.

It is odd. This is what the app tells me but I have never noticed 3.0 on a trip, more 2.1 to 2.6 on individual runs, though easy to get carried away.

"New"milk float, love it so far but sorting out all the features is a bit mind boggling :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Great stuff. I really like the exterior styling of the iD3. Sharp.
