Pls do. Am sure he’s loving the keyless entry

Yeah, i follow Rifa. Poor man’s Bjorn.

He doesn’t OWN one though (yet) he just borrows em. He’s had one too many Volvo/Polestar junket to be reliable (though he did trash the 4 when it came out)

Owners reports are absolutely horrific (the 3 esp.seems like an absolute pig)

Really wanted Polestar to succeed, and really want to have one, but they’re making a rotten job of it.

FWIW am booked in for a back to back test drive of the 3 and the 4 in a few weeks.

The 4 seems such a good value proposition…we were really rather set on the 3, but if we could manage with the boot space (and the inevitable dings from Mrs Craig trying to park the massive fooker) then there’s a whopping saving to be had over the 3, for a car which still has (from what I can tell, software nightmares aside) a high refinement level, and is a proper looker IMHO.

I’m going to pub with my mate tomorrow evening, I’ll let you know if he has any horror stories. He’s in fleet sales, so should have some insight.

If there is anything about the 2 for us paupers than that might be interesting. We will need to chop in the GTE at some point and while we could go electro-Prescott, the likely options are a P2, Ioniq 6 or EV6.

We had a P2 for 4 months, while waiting for the Q8

Geniunely brilliant car, hands down (IMHO) their best resolved model, and doesn’t have any of the moronic features that seem to come out of the Geely stable (keyless entry, no goddam buttons.)

OTOH if you’re comparing with an Ioniq 6 and the EV6, then there’s marginally better range and definitely better charging speed to be had with both of them I think ? 6’s looks are an acquired taste, though the Polestar has them beat for interior quality and sense of occasion

John said he did have a few teething problems with the keyless entry, solved by replacing the battery in the fob. Apparently these things have been sat around for a bit and if the fobs are stored close enough to the vehicle they’re always talking to each other which drains the battery.

Any software issues must’ve been sorted before delivery, because otherwise it’s been flawless.

It’s a big old thing, but he manoeuvred it out of a crowded pub car park easily enough, the 3D drone view on the huge screen helps massively with that.

He loves it, his is the single motor and it’s plenty fast enough, his colleague got a dual motor and it’s stupidly quick, but similarly they’ve had no real problems.

Happy to hear it.

The 4 dual motor is ridiculously fast - can completely understand the desire to “suffice” with the single motor

I think we’d want the dual for the 4WD, but wouldn’t need that power in a month of Sundays

4WD is rarely needed in the UK as long as you have the right tyres IME.

OTOH my first 4WD is an EV because regenerative braking must be better if all 4 wheels are getting reverse torque from the motors.

Meanwhile, we are off to the north of that Norfolk today for a week and ZapMap still has tumbleweed rolling across it.

:+1: Same in Swedish winter with good winter tyres.

I agree about :england:, also with @SteadySteve :sweden: points about winters: way more important than drivetrain

We live in :denmark: and have a rural property where AWD occasionally comes in handy, plus a winter :skier:cabin on top of a :mountain: in :norway: where it’s bloody essential imho
