Saw a white Renault 5 today. They really do look great.

I love the ID Buzz but can’t think of any excuse to get one now there are only 2 of us.

Looks cool but if I’m driving electric I want electric acceleration.

 How about, I’d really like one of those.

Just sayin’.

I know! I kinda do but I know it would be a pain in the dick to live with.

Having driven one I’m considering getting one next.

The ā€˜normal’ SWB is 7.6 to 62, which in that kind of van/bus feels plenty adequate to me. The GTX model is 6.5 to 62 but with a hit on the ultimate range. You do feel the surge in torque enough to overtake safely.

That’s actually not too bad. I had it in my head it was around 10 seconds for some reason.

Economy maxes out at around 3kWh/m in granny mode which almost makes an iPace look frugal. Not that it makes a difference when your name is Rob and your roof can power a large hamlet.

How times have changed.
When I was a teenager the ultimate sports saloon was the rare and relatively expensive Lotus Cortina. It did 0-50 in 10 secs. Today we measure to 62 - 100kph and almost everything is faster than the Lotus Cortina.

Meanwhile I was lusting after this

Dubbed toooo fast to race

Was winning everything and every year they tried to change the rules to hobble it. Hence the hardtop roof! Probably made it fasteršŸ˜‚

Woah there! :scream::nauseated_face::face_vomiting:

I realise it’s a concept car… still, it’s worked.

The interior is amazing.

Must agree with that; hope that makes production!

Looks like business class on Emirates.

Must admit I really like the Gerry Anderson styling on the new Jag and the Bentley.

At the other end of the scale, I saw one of these the other day parked up near us.

It is a cheap box on wheels, but then so was a Metro or Uno and they did the job for a lot of people.

Anyone else have their eye on the new IX3 ?

Keen to see it for the future interior design and software direction but not currently in the market.

So, we are thinking of getting our first EV and I have been looking at bidirectional chargers as we use a lot of electricity (9000ish kWh a year) and thought an EV would make a good sized home battery storage system as we both work from home a fair bit.

We don’t have solar yet.

I am struggling to find info on bidirectional charging which is 3 phase compatible, are there any good resources out there for this type of thing?

Also, I am with Eon and they have a new tariff with low rate 00.00 - 07.00 which seems good?
