Double fucked ![]()
Thatās a lot of screenage!
Looks great tbh, wild charging speeds, decent looking car and a sane price
800v architecture that doesnāt work initially with all of the existing 400v chargers, somewhat stupidly. I have no idea how an entire room of people agreed that if it was intentional or missed it in testing if it was a cock up.
Iām wildly out of touch with cars. I realised that last week in NI was the first time Iād been in one since a friendās wife gave us a lift in January.
A couple of years ago the HUD on a friendās BMW blew my tiny little mind. I didnāt even know the technology existed - I thought it was still in the realms of Star Trek.
Yeah they focus at infinity as well. Optical voodoo.
The Ioniq5/EV6 are both 800V, I donāt recall it being an issue with charging on the public network designed for 400V?
Reading a bit more, it is that they have a DC-DC convertor for DC charging and the Merc doesnāt by the sound of it.
Yebbut, 142 illuminated stars in the grille ![]()
Ah ha, I had not seen that, then yes, seems a very odd decision!
Harryās garage did a review of this, seems good value for the range, he had no issue on a motorway super charger.
I like the look of the estate coming soon, seems they have managed to make a very efficient low drag car.
I am considering swapping in the Zoe against an ID3 or 4.
Am I mental? I havenāt driven a 3 or 4 yet or really looked that deep in to them other than knowing they had loads of software issues early on.
I love my ID3 but it hasnāt been without itās problems.
The battery problems have been efficiently sorted under warranty but odd niggling things regarding software glitches and things like the charging flap refusing to open on the M6 services with 25 miles range were not so good.
Do you think the battery is just down to yours being an accident car?
With the software has the car had any updates and has this helped?
Iām pretty sure that they wouldnāt have repaired under warranty if that was the case.
The amount used as minicabs in Londonshire is not insignificant; and they probably have to cope with way more than just wet clothes and water spills⦠not good! ![]()
First drive in the Buzz and itās a 250 mile round trip, yeah weāre charging on the way up and down at only 2.5miles/kWhā¦
Infotainment is good when it works, but the space/flexibility is ace. Quick enough for a bus and lovely to drive although no one pedal driving will get a little getting used too!
Cracking looking thing though Rob. Yours ?
Yep, picked up today. I4 goes back.
