The Milk Float Thread

That quotes Tesla at “from” £1449.
Given that they are 460 quid that’s a lot to fit one! A grand for a wall mount job, and some basic sparky work!

I just can’t seem to find a site that isn’t trying to push something. Some forums say the Tesla won’t qualify for the grant as they aren’t smart chargers (read they are in house an seemingly outside the generic qualification).

I just can’t see any advice from an objective car website.

I don’t know what you’re inputting, I get a quote of £529

I have this due to solar panels.

This is also interesting.

Could you get Adam to fit it?

Can I just nail it to a plank?

Probably! :grinning:

If you haven’t already, you could also ask here. There’s a lot of info from owners. e.g.

Hope their tech is better than their spelling

@SAP7 have you heard Tesla have applied for planning permission on the old BK Thomas/Sandicliffe site in West Bridgford?

Service centre and 6-8 Superchargers, apparently.

The networking is a little idiosyncratic but the rest of it is very clever. Worth checking the Fully Charged videos on it.

Nope.
I was asking this week where the “coming soon” Nottingham service centre and sales hub would be.
It’s been a grey blob in the map for a while with no eta or details.

Thanks

Good site, I can’t imagine it would take them long to throw that up given it was a dealership for ages before the hand car washers took over.

Pick Tesla. Add yes to driveway.
Add postcode

Gedling tax?

Odd innit.

Who knows. But that’s much more like it. Tesla have authorised fitters who will come out and do a free quote.
Though any sparky can follow there online instruction manual.

Ahhh. I see the error now. That’s the price for the cheapest. Check the Tesla branded Charger price further down the options… my photo is for the £460 Tesla charger option.
And my point was these websites seem to push you towards specific items they presumably get commission from. I can’t be a true comparison if they are bunging a grand on an off the shelf unit.

I read that the Tesla one isn’t necessarily the one to go for. It doesn’t have any scheduling features like some of the others. If you plan to go for an EV-biased leccy tariff for instance, being able to set charge times is quite important.

The Tesla app has all that though. So your car does it!?
I suppose if you change cars that’s an issue.

Expect a shit-ton of Polestar reviews incoming. All the mags have been at Millbrook testing the 2 today. Early impressions look good.
