The Milk Float Thread

It is.

Same in LA Guy.

When went to Canada last year we were surprised to see electric mopeds whizzing along the paths when we went to catch the buses or skytrain. Apparently this is perfectly legal over there but then it is North America so no one really walks to actually get anywhere. This being Canada they’ll use their V8 Lifted pickup to drive to the wilderness before doing bear wrestling or competitive lumberjacking or whatever. God I miss that place. Fucking Covid.

Yep, nearly been taken out a few times by them. Plus it annoys me when people abandon them in the middle of the pavement. But I guess it beats getting Uber’s everywhere.

They have cycle lanes all over Santa Monica now and when I was there at Christmas I saw 1 cyclist using them.

Cycle lanes here are glass and twig nesting places. They tend to stop suddenly and be replaced with parked cars.
Or they are doubled with a footpath.

Then cars get annoyed when you don’t use them for fear of death (which has to be a genuine fear as using city roads is fear of death itself).

Has your car arrived yet?

No news yet.
Lease company are just saying we await Tesla telling us (but don’t trust anything they say on eta).

The reviews all seem positive. TG’s is probably the most gushing

Looks great, eh?

One unexpected thing that I like about my car is that the centre console is cut away up front, so I can manspread a bit more. Here’s a photo of what I mean:

You can see on that that there’s extra knee width. The Polestar looked relatively cramped:

But I bet its seats are more comfortable!

why did you buy a left hand drive car? Is there something about the roads in St Albans that i’ve been getting wrong all these years

I couldn’t be arsed to get up off my fat arse, obviously

I hate centre consoles.

The existence of a marina and skyscrapers by the look of it.

Back OT, other than charging the T3 has a stellar safety rating as its biggest advantage. We would need to see what NCAP says about the Polestar 2 before it becomes the first choice.

Would you have to walk to the charging station to get a photo?

People will start to think it’s abandoned.

It doesn’t need charging, but by fuck I’m getting annoyed with the council residents’ parking department.

Oh, what have they done now?

For 50 grand, you mean cossetting :joy:

The Polestar looks very cramped the Hyundai little better than average.

The ID3 looks to have got it right. Drive selector attached to the steering column and not much more than an armrest and cup holder in the middle.

I want an ID3 with the mid or long range battery.

They need proof of ownership, which I don’t have as I don’t own it. The contract doesn’t specify the number plate, as it was sorted before the car was built. The emails are not valid as they can be tampered with…

I think I have finally got it sorted…
