My biggest problem in making them is that I would probably have to make a dozen for it to be worthwhile, but then I’d have to give half of them away. I’m not sure they’d keep more than about 24 hours.

Unless I eat half a dozen a day :grin:

Correct swirling on base, thin crisp layers, luxuriant unctuous custard. Unless a better SW. Vendor materialises 50 of these will be coming to Lopwell

Sainsbury’s Pasteis today. I thought a little treat might be nice:

You can almost taste the disappointment. The pastry is poor and bordering on underdone on the bottom while being overdone on the side. Filling is teeth-achingly sweet and unpleasantly gritty, as if cornflour was used to thicken the custard.

Fuck you Sainsbury’s!!
