When the proprietor is actively trying to destabilise the country I live in then it’s time for me to withdraw my custom.
It was very handy for stage times for gigs.
Oh and getting a new pornbot follower every couple of hours was getting really tedious too.
I’m watching as lots of leading clinicians who used to use Twatter to broadcast and communicate events, disseminate info etc, are dropping X like a hot potato and citing Musk’s antics and rhetoric as the specific reason.
I caved because I wanted my endorphin hit and installed Threads.
It opened with all the usual suspects who I want to see (mostly music and architecture) saying “Just joined. Bloody hell it’s a lot more sane here”.
Early days, we’ll see.

Twitter’s Grok AI system is going brilliantly… (while not real, I’d hold off clicking on that if you’re in an office or on a work terminal).
Couldn’t deactivate my account because it’s so old the confirmation emails get sent to an account provider that ceased to exist 15 years ago… Shows how much I used it I guess.
Threads is in a bit of a land-grab at the minute. Lots of accounts big and small migrating across, and large amounts of engagement-farming.
