Well they fired significant swathes of the Office of Nuclear Energy, not realising that they didn’t just deal with nuclear power plants, but all of the US’s nuclear missile systems and infrastructure. Anecdotally, I’d heard they’d gotten rid of anyone in the department that could write a spec for any hardware required for the missile systems.
Don’tcha lose any sleep over that. For an appropriate fee Battelle will be able to find someone for ya.

Have been avoiding Airbnb for years. It single handedly all but destroyed the market for first time
Flat buyers in Edinburgh. All of them going to cash investors to turn into holiday legs via Airbnb. I’ve also seen the damage it does to holiday destinations like Mallorca etc. greed has torn apart communities and resulted in young buyers forced out of the cities and towns they grew up in.
Along with Uber, AirBNB needs to die. It’s been so perverted away from the original mission statement as to bear no real resemblance.

Local people need to decide the balance between their city benefiting from holidaymakers and their house prices staying low. Then they need to elect a council that will enforce that balance (assuming central government doesn’t overrule them). There will be winners and losers wherever the balance point is set.
We could ask whether outsiders should have any rights to access attractive places too, but that would just complicate things further.
