Yes, I too can find something like this
with a 30 second google search. However both of them look like plastic shit. That’s why I’m asking if anybody has experience of a particular brand that’s solid and reliable.

anything that has approvals should be ok + amazon ratings are normally a fairly good indication if something is shite.

Look for it by brand - MK, DuraPlug, Crabtree, Schurter, Masterplug, Schaffner and Volex are names that come to mind - no idea what specifics are on the market these days because the cheap, dodgy Chinese crap has put most non-CN manufacturers out of business.
If you don’t need a cable then this.

I recently used some Schneider 13A sockets. They seemed to me to be very well made. Not cheap though.
I’ve never tried their extension leads. As far as I can tell the fewest number of sockets is 4 and the minimum cable length is 2m. And the price, by comparison with a typical DIY store one, is eye-watering (perhaps there’s a cheaper distributor ?)
Expensive for ‘British’ reasons
Looks like @Valvebloke has discovered Fesshole
Not me. If you’ve had a brain haemorrhage you really want the blood nice and thick so it clots and seals the burst as quickly as possible. Not that you have much choice - the bleed brings on vomiting which means you couldn’t really keep anything down, even if you wanted to. What you most need is for the neurosurgeon to get on with drilling your skull and wiggling the drain tube down through your brain while damaging it as little as he/she can manage.
It is true that all this causes quite a headache though
.
Actually expensive for “not made by human rights-deprived near-slave child labour in Chinese sweatshops with fake safety markings and then sold by tax-dodging global megacorporations” reasons, but close… ![]()
Don’t forget to put your clocks back tonight
I’m working an extra hour because of Night Shift reasons.
Fuck. My. Life.
No words
Do these cunts really think like this? Fucks sake can they not be shot, please.
Parody MP: Sir Michael Take CBE = Mickey Take
You do wonder when enough people in Cornwall will realise that the MPs they have elected (currently all Tory) may not actually have the interests of the people (or the county) at heart.
Thanks, so much traffic on Twitter I walk in to it some times ![]()
Following UK politics since 2016, my gut feeling:
neither in Cornwall, nor the rest of the UK, enough people will come to realise that.
And if it were to happen tomorrow, it will be too late I’m afraid.
Too much harm has been done since 2010 (or 1979) to the UK as an advanced nation.
Health care, utility, manufacturing, social services come to mind. The country is being stripped down and sold off, with politics that has led to the largest income inequality (and incarceration rates) in western Europe
. Feels like the sick man of Europe again.
It will take decades to turn that around, even if there is a strong intention, like levelling up former eastern Germany. That still hasn’t happened after 30+ years.
