The wam will be 20 in 3 year's time

The other one, Mr Cat, started off as just a boring single middle aged guy who washed his pants in the bedsit sink, turned in to a full blown shit chucking cunt.

It was this weird mix of being genuinely scared and also bored shitless because I didn’t want to spend all evening playing Scalectrix with him. I shit you not.

Graham was one of the good guys, I met him at quite a few bakeoffs although I can’t for the life of me remember his forum name.

Was he the guy who was also at HP and had a fetish for kettle bells? Definitely remember him getting banned for some significant unpleasantness.

Yep that’s the one. Was sending some quite unsavoury messages via HP network which resulted in some fingers pointing at me.
I believe his manager had a few words after I handed the IP to infra.

I was there! I think it was also my first. You made extremely tasty stuffed peppers, as I remember, and Mr Design kept going on about his cables, to which everyone responded with silence. Slightly awkward silence, unsurprisingly.

Yes you were! And I still roll those stuffed peppers out as a veggie / vegan option to this day. In fact, I’m doing a couple tonight

Did we meet at one of his bakes? I attended plenty!

I was impressed… you seemed to whip them up out of nowhere. I thought wow, this guy really knows his… erm… peppers.

If I remember rightly, I think this was also pre Paul and Sam being a thing, but I definitely observed a cosy vibe developing :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Just checked… I joined the Wam September 2009.

Moved to New Zealand, I think.

They were definitely a thing by then. Certainly quite happy to sleep in the same bed

No idea if it can be found in the Web ether. But one of the best trolls I saw was late one night clotho popped to an American hi fi forum, and started a thread similar to this as far as I remember.

Hi all, been into hifi for some years, just had an amazing experience, instead of using one speaker, I decided, why not try two.
What I have done is put one either side of the telly to make a triangle shape to where you listen.
I feel this somewhat of a game changer and recommend anyone into music to give it a go.

The replies were mad.

Ahh ok, just when I first picked up on it then.

No, different Graham
The Graham I am thinking of lived in Kent, he used to service hosptal equipment, he died a few years ago.
The Graham who moved to NZ is alive and well and a moderator of this forum :grinning:

Correction NZ Graham is 2a3 on this forum and is not a moderator!

We may have done; I went to one in summer 2012. Bought a few records as no toom for any more kit! :+1: :+1: :+1: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Graham Oakley.

A particually funny moment, a proper LOL for me, was the first use of this image (that I recall seeing), championed by @browellm in responce to someone’s rant about the use of the word Scotch iirc.
It only made things worse.

Ah yes, “Scotch Brian”'s eventual death-flounce.

One of THE all time finest forum meltdowns.

Ever.
