The Wonderful World of Turntable Design AKA: Dave's Fugly World Of TT Wank

Looks like someone has been using a claw hammer to demo it. (Slight exaggeration..)

Edit: I am just jealous. Unless I receive a cash windfall, I don’t think I will ever better my SL1200G.

Not sure what you are on about.

This is the one I saw

I love mine. Everything works exactly as it should. And will do so forever (well, longer than you will ever need it to).

So yeah, different example.

Keep seeing these for sale at what seem quite reasonable prices but have never seen or heard one at first hand. Looks cool though.

I’d never seen one before til earlier
Looks really nice

Interesting that the tonearm doesn’t use anti-skate.

The fr 24 I have doesn’ have one. Or the neat tonearm.
No idea why as the mk 1 and 2 do.
Even when I’ve used the v15 on its lightest weight it still veered onto the label,so I ended up making a botched sme type one.
I’ve just put the rb250 on,so will see how that goes

Just seen that the denon was a broadcast deck released in 74.
Reminds me a bit of the td126,mainly because of the push buttons

I took the plunge on a Denon DP3000ne. Very happy, wont be thinking about another player for a some time if ever…

Very nice, I’ve only heard good things about the Denon.
Are the feet the one’s that came with it because they look good :+1:

I recall reading about various of these Teragaki turntables maybe 10-15 years ago. Never saw one for sale before though.

Looks like it was an expensive r&d exercise paid for by Audio Technica.

Blingtastic.

yes, they are part of what drew me to the model, high quality feet. the whole table is really solid, from the plinth to the platter. Cart is Nakaoka MP500. Im really impressed, for the money its a very good table. Guttenberg reviewed it against the technics 1200G which is double the price.
