Under screen savers?

Will have a look. Thanks

Just seen this posted elsewhere:

It’s a little tricky to see in the image, but you put the face you want to play down, and the cart comes up through that gap. Which is certainly unconventional.

What seems absolute mad to me is that it’s powered by a USB-C port (this may not be such an issue, but given the care lots of turntable makers make over powering stuff, it certainly feels like a choice. Also, the only output is via a 3.5mm jack socket (it’s got an inbuilt phono stage). Apparently, it can also auto-detect if you’ve put a 33 or a 45 on it.

Yours for a sprightly £5091.53 apparently.

Vinyl for the vinylphobic. We like the faff.

Special edition tho

Celebrating 50 years of selling broken turntables with a very clear upgrade path…

Seems since COVID people just think of a stupid number and go with that. Seems to have happened in many things, not just hifi.

Ā£1000 a year!

I couldn’t ask Ā£50k for one of those with a straight face. Madness.

Ten grand for the plinth

Wood to ro(c)k = coal? Why not just say Panzerholz?

Hmm…coal plinths. There’s one the marketing depts. haven’t thought of

My mate with more money than sense, has the 40th anniversary which cost him around 25k in 2013. Maybe Linn thought fck it let’s just double the price, some mug will buy it. Wonder if the 60th will be 100k.

Please do inform your mate of the upgrade opportunity.

Think I’d go for this, and spend the spare Ā£30,000 on records

There is a demo one of those at 11k and it’s a fantastic deck for the cash.
And I doubt you’d lose much as they have gone up in price since they arrived.
Not sure you get the fancy crate anymore, but they are still hand built in Japan.
