Today I have mainly been V2.0

I’d definitely be fitting the lock. If she’s at all boisterous then I’d be thinking about the polycarb too. Building regs these days specify safety glass in windows which are near the floor. This is based, I believe, on a history of accidents involving children which, while rare, were sometimes tragically serious (cuts as much as falling).

When I was 5 or 6 I developed a wish to climb onto our outhouse roof. But the climb was too hard. So a friend and I went up to the bathroom, tied a bit of wood to one end of a length of string, tied the other end to something in the bathroom, lobbed the wood out of the window onto the roof opposite and I was about to set out climbing along the string when my mother found us. She wasn’t pleased. Kids, eh …

I’m tempted to screw a couple of batons across the frame near the bottom now.
That’s a funny story, good job nobody bought you a grappling hook as a present :grinning:
A well timed intervention by your Mum.

Get safety glass installed. Failing that, install a piece of 4mm plastic in front of the lower half using the sash-glaze system or similar.
