Sorting stuff for VAT and having new tyres fitted to my tractor.

Helping my aged parents move from the house they’ve lived in for 48 years

Removers miscalculated and didn’t have enough space to get everything in. I could have told them that when the van first arrived. Shit for brains. Bear in mind they’d been in the house the day before to assess his much stuff there was.

They had to do two trips Croydon to Eastbourne, serves em right.

Anyway all seems good now.

It’s not like it’s their job or they do it everyday.

Just spent 15 minutes measuring the speakers, wondering why the results were so bad but consistent. Made a few adjustments, listened and it sounded rather poor. Undid them and got irritated.

Packing away, I found that I had forgotten to plug the microphone pre into the computer. It had used the mic in the PC. Which is shit.

So then I spent 30 minutes doing it properly. Made some adjustments and it sounds fucking ace.

Booking flights to Glasgow

Lou has finally received confirmation of her referral with the consultant cardiac surgeon at The Golden Jubilee Hospital in Glasgow!

Fly down on 11th Feb, appointments at various times on the 12th and fly back on the 13th. Staying two nights at the on-site hotel (supposed to be very nice)

Delighted that the appointment has finally been confirmed, but now starting to feel apprehensive about what they might decide to do, or not do…

Better to know than the constant worry of what it might be. At least then you can make an informed decision as to what you do next.
I wish you all the best and hope the news will be good news.

I recently had to listen to a lot of consutations, for myself, and others. They really are very thorough, and I found it reassuring.

That is really great news. I hope that the decisions you all make lead to the most positive of possible outcomes. At least you’ll have some new ‘what-ifs’ to worry about, which is progress of sorts.

Don’t fancy Glasgow in February much myself though, too cold and Scotchish for me…

Picked up a solid oak table from Bodmin that I won on eBay £75 - The plan is to rework it into a 2 tier hi-fi rack.
Also started on a new case for my preamp
