Today I have mainly been V2.0

That’s about par for the course.
My Mazda (that exploded) was 10 to 12% optimistic on its fuel consumption compared to my calculated figures.
My Honda’s computer is currently showing 48.4mpg for the tank. Im due to fill up tomorrow morning, I will report back with my calculation.

Using software that is still based on BDE.

Cutting in.

Yes… still after all this time.

Retrieving the corpse of Mrs Woo from the fish tank and placing in a temporary coffin (empty plastic tub) in the fridge…

Have since changed some of the water, cleaned the filter and now crossing fingers that Mr Woo & friends don’t die during the day.

I fully expect to have to dig a hole in the parched earth later and witness the funeral of Mrs Woo.

Borland, as opposed to Big Dick Energy?

Strange but true, I used to write a lot of software in Turbo Pascal. But then that was so long ago I even had hair.

Yup. Software still looks and doesn’t work the same as when I first trialled it for my old firm back in 2004.

doubt all you like, I have no qualms or moral stance about that whatsoever. In practice though there might be good reason not to - the condition of the flesh, illness etc…

Or they just might not taste very nice

Same here! I used Delphi as well before moving to VB6.

we used to teach Delphi (briefly)

my wife did her final year computer science project in Delphi. She wrote some software to interface a rudimentary website (it was 1997) in Delphi with a robot arm(serial port only) so that the arm could be controlled over the internet…
