Given the rain recently, that could be York high street…
Ambiente- there’s two Fossgate or Goodramgate. Food is decent but service is woeful.

we’ve been in one of their branches. Maybe we mis ordered from the menu, but found most dishes were deep fried…
Well the veggie stuff was definitely not deep fried and rather tasty.
Getting it all out on time was another story…

that looks great, will make a change from Brigantes on Micklegate which our usual first port of call.
I have always found Brigs to serve decent beer and above average food with pretty good service. Great range of spirits.
I might be biased, my son worked there - he was the whiskey expert!
