Just finished a lovely meal - rib-eye and all the trimmings with Jan and son Jack. Think she’s resigned to it now.
Better than last year when I forgot our 40th.
Next hurdle is Settle when she realises I’m away for my birthday on the 14th.

So far today I’ve been travelling to Roborough to visit a friend for a few days. Currently just past Bristol on the way to Exeter.
I like train journeys.
There’s a Roborough just above Plymouth & another one up in the middle of Devon. Which one are you headed for?
I think it’s the one in Devon. Meeting friend at Umberleigh Station.
This train goes to Plymouth but I’m getting off at Exeter St David’s then change for Umberliegh
You’re less than 30 minutes drive away!

Preparing to return to Blighty after a 12 day European road trip. It’s been great, I feel very much a ‘european’ and we are on the verge of telling them to fuck off because we’re better off without them.
