The code for the big beggar on the right looks like one of those anomalies where two different organisations have used the same number, for different valves of course. The RAF had a VT series of valves, of which I guess this is one. But the Americans did too. Their VT114 is a fairly ordinary pre-war rectifier http://www.r-type.org/exhib/aaa1407.htm.

Today I am mainly attending a Speed Awareness course at a Greyhound Racing track.
Somehow I don’t think it will include a section on guessing how fast dogs can run.

nice you have still a greyhound track there , my son worked at our local one till they closed it recently to build yet more houses
