Sat in traffic for an hour…so far… 
A shiny new maroon coloured EU passport arrived this morning. 
Seems to be a lot of arty design & elaborate anti-fraud features in this latest version.

Biometric passport control works well.
Coming back from Munich this year I went from the door of the plane, through customs and passport control got the shuttle train from North Terminal to South Terminal, through the ticket barrier at Gatwick railway station and was on the platform just as my train arrived.
Total elapsed time was 20 minutes.

I expect that post Brexit, sadly this shiny new maroon passport won’t allow me to go through the EU citizens aisle & I’ll be queueing with other non EU passengers.
