I still suffer from the odd nightmare… It’s…TIME…
Was always troubled by Hartley’s nylon teeth.
…so feckin’ bored that I tidied the loft. Emptied the bastard, swept it out and vacuumed the filth up (residue from putting on a new roof in 2017. Tidied all the Xmas decorations into boxes* that actually fit on the shelves and aren’t disintegrating and shifted all my CDs out of there.
Time for a (0%) beer. This post was even more tedious than clearing the feckin’ loft.
*Have yet to break the news of the reboxing to the Domestic Antipodean…
All in one day? Woah there hoss, you need to make those kind of activities last otherwise it’s gonna be a long lockdown
Not as tedious as you complaining about it… ![]()

Must. Not. Try. Harder…
.Ah Fuck it…

And this is a problem, how ?
It involves change. Strayans don’t seem to like change much.
hmmm the loft. Need a place to take the rubbish
I’d have dragged that out over the entire weekend. You’ve already shot your bolt with reorganising your record collection too soon - I have that scheduled for 4 weeks time and although I have a fraction of the number of records you own, it will take me at least three days and possibly a week.
[/living up to tagline]
Sounds like a disk controller, which may not be fixable
Dragged fatter arse out for my daily walk. Sadly it doesn’t counteract the increased snacking 99% of us are doing.
Just a walk to Finchley Road and back. Finchley Road was very quiet at Swiss Cottage as you can see.
On the way back a nice clear view of the City and a nice little Fiat Spider.
I am concluding similar
Well done.
By the time this lockdown ends you might get to build a working model (and a Saturn V - probably)
I’ll start on the Ferrari tomorrow.
Re-arranging >5000 CDs
Ok, all I did was give the NAS a dust and set Roon to work indexing them.
It is the planning that is so taxing
Panicking about Hel’s birthday tomorrow - its her 50th and all my original plans to take her away on the Orient Express to Venice etc have obviously been utterly thwarted. Now I’m scratching round trying to find something she’d like with very little opportunity to actually get it.
She does not do disappointment well
As good as.
It was my brother’s birthday on Friday. He lives on his own but despite that he is, of the four siblings, the one who most likes/needs the others’ company. We have always arranged a get-together on the day. But not this time, of course. I phoned him, half expecting he might need a bit of cheering up. But he said he’d had a constant stream of calls from family and friends and that had really helped. Some of them were pretty unexpected (including the chap who runs his pottery class actually showing up to wish him happy birthday from his driveway !). Could you get others to help make Hel’s day a bit more special ? (Just to be clear, maybe don’t start with us …)
