They’re rather funky. Like them.
Different.
Went to The Wild Place just outside Bristol and saw a variety of mammals including bear, wolf, cheetah, giraffe, okapi, eland, goat, lemur(3), dik-dik and the ubiquitous meerkat.
Very nice. Are the cabochons sapphire and ruby? Love me a cabochon-cut precious stone - ideally diamond for maximum perversity
Going to Donnington Park
In which case these should appeal to your deviant nature.
The rings are made up using the old fashioned rose cut diamonds from mother’s ring, which even then didn’t start out as her’s, and was made up of two other rings.
Top one is a large garnet and 2 * 2ct diamonds.
The lower one is a large tourmaline, iddy biddy ruby, 3ct diamond.
Rose cut has a flat back, but those have pavilions, so old European cuts. 1880-1930s
Any racing or just admiring the stripes ?
Older, simpler cuts are SOOOOOO nice
The romans had it right, just shove the natural octahedral shape in a ring, job done.
Rose cuts came out of macles a twinned flatter crystal so less waste and no hassle of cleaning.
Parting with £2k for a tin can for FoL#1 Ellie:
57 plate Aygo, 40k miles, 1 lady owner (no, really)
Immaculate inside, but needs funkier wheel trims.
On the plus side, she can now ferry you back from the pub
The same car, but after Freefallrob has worked his magic on it.
I imagine the insurance premium for Ellie in the first car will be roughly the same as for most of us in the second one.
