Today I have mainly been V3.0

Spent a couple of hours here

On the first of three training sessions before an archaeological survey of a local wood (we just rented a room in the place). The sculptor here has created a nice walk-through landscape dotted with his creations

You wouldn’t normally see all the xmas goods until October. But Santa recently relocated, and his garage is not big enough for everything. Poor Santa

No wonder he’s grumpy, he used to get 11+ months off a year.

Probably a good idea to buy Xmas presents now

Have been trying give a few bags of suff to charity

Shame someone local can’t open up an unused warehouse for all this stuff, and give it to the needy in the run up to Xmas like the foodbanks

Criminal for all this stuff to end up in landfill

Exploring Norfolk again. Today, The Lost Village of Godwick and The Great Barn of Godwick. Village was abandoned in 1597. Not much left tbh - still interesting though.

Miele man came - fitted me a new door seal, tested with water in the machine, had no leak. Cancelled the programme. We ran a hot wash, now the damned thing screeches with rubber on glass (with no lube) when spinning…

Miele man can come back on 2nd Oct.

Probably knackered springs and dampers, had similar recently

nup already diagnosed, dem new door seal rubbin on door

fairy nuff

…looking forward to visiting Bristol for a gig:

Not been to the Colston Hall since a gig by The Cure in April 1982

I used to do brass band competitions there a lot of years ago…

Shudder.

Oh I don’t miss them. Open contests where you played your own stuff weren’t too bad but test pieces were horrendous. Months of playing one piece of music over and over, entire rehearsals on a few bars… argh…

:scream:

I remember this piece. No I didn’t play with black duke, and our band weren’t in the same league (albeit we briefly fit into the same section/division so we weren’t bad)

We used to suck lemons in front of the euphonium player when I was a lad, bring back the bandstands, you can’t beat a bit of floral dance.
