Learnt another friend was taken into ICU this morning, she has had an abdominal aortic aneurysm, worryingly she is immune suppressed and to complicate matters further she has tested positive for COVID despite being VERY careful and having both jabs.
Not good…

About 10 miles as the crow flies, or 40 via road, from Blackpool. It’s almost far enough

Packing car. Making 10 jars of plum and blackberry jam after I discovered masses of ripe berries at the bottom of the garden. Driving to Northumberland. Heating supper as the light went. Last time I camped in Bellingham was mid 80s, nice place.
Finding myself at an old airfield in Malta measuring the noise levels at the open house “turn up and mash your motor (& gearbox, clutch, tyres etc) up the quarter mile” evening
That’s the sort of thing that I would find great fun - for about an hour.
Beyond that I would probably be pining to get away to a bar 
Used to do a bit of quarter mile back in the day. Not raced or been to a strip since 1980.
Heady mix of tyre smoke, testosterone and machismo, so yeah about an hour
