Only slightly here.
Mrs VB gets up in night. On her way back she comes to a stop at the foot of the bed. After a few moments I ask what sheâs doing. âThis lightâ she says, pointing to a sliver on the blanket chest, âwhereâs it coming from ?â. âThe moonâ I say (because apart from ectoplasm what else could it be ?). âNoâ she says. âYesâ I say. In the end I have to get out of bed, find the shaft of light which is coming in through a crack in the curtains and follow it back, on my hand, to convince her.
Honestly. She has a physics degree and is a C Eng.

One afternoon I was in the garden with an ex - who was in her 30s at the time - when she happened to look-up and notice the moon. She was both surprised and alarmed, and asked me if it was normal for the moon to be visible in daylight, or was something wrong?
And looking back, that was one of her least fuckwitted momentsâŚ
