Tolkein opportunity missed, last light of Durin’s day and all that.
On a walk to and around Peckham park. We were originally aiming for Nunhead cemetary but later decided that it was a bit far.
Spotted this on the way.
I knew it existed and know the road well, but the plaque is at ankle level and easily missed so I didn’t know exactly where it was.
Back via train from Peckham Rye. I was surprised how hard the hipster express has spilled over from East Dulwich. Lots and lots of young white folk scoffing bao buns and drinking craft ale.
Yep, considering it had security guards on the ticket gates at rush hour 20 yeara ago.
Or even worse, “hydrogen atoms fusing into helium”.

Pulling together stuff I need to complete a job application. Deadline is next Sunday night, so should have enough time, assuming I don’t hit the beer too much while the other Waxys are in that London.
Good luck.BH Monday is a night off. Tuesday is fucked cos of Monday night off. Wednesday is when it begins ![]()
Good luck with what ? Is that cat some sort of familiar ?
Two boats ?
Yeah
Geira (Fetlar boat) is moored until this afternoon and Bigga (Unst boat) does the 10:50 trip to Yell
Getting out of Hunstanton.
Do you book a space on these, or is there pretty much always space if you just turn up ?
I bet those guys are pretty tired of “going to need a Bigga boat” jokes.
I always book online
There’s usually plenty of space but It’s nice to know that you have a guaranteed place
Payment is via an account card (islanders only) and you get invoiced by post! At least you can pay online
Fetlar equivalent of Prescott.
Good job you’ve got a strong stomach. That swell looks heavy enough to sink a Russian cruiser.
