Today I have mainly been V5.0 (Part 3)

A very accurate characterisation.

And then, when you do finally get through to them, they publish your ideas without any trace of credit being given.

Character-forming stuff :ok_hand:

Dicking about making another armboard for the rega rb250.

The goldring mc really doesn’t work great with it. So now have a nagaoka mp 200 on which is much better suited

Meeting up tonight with three old school chums who I haven’t seen since (I guess) 1987 at the latest.

I know how dysfunctional we were back then. Now we’re at the other end of our lives it will be interesting to see how they’ve turned out.

I’m sure they’re also intrigued to see what 40 years did to the curly-haired heavy metal moron.

As a positive, you have all made it this far!

Indeed. This evening is an offshoot of a larger event next month for the whole “class of 85”.

About 120 boys back then, it’s very sobering the number of us that didn’t make it.

All car accidents initially, the usual medical suspects these days.

fantastic sunset while out walking the dog this evening, iPhone camera doesn’t do it justice

Well that was excellent. 4 hours of drinking lager and spouting shite. I had forgotten how tall John is.

I was the only non-Oxford guy there :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Not sure it’s documented anywhere nor many white papers written on it. Sinking a few jars and spouting shite to a bunch of old friends you haven’t seen in a while is one of the greatest boosts you can ever get to your mental health.

There was a fair amount of this but one guy has had the full “I didn’t know they could do that” medical documentary cancer of his tibia then six months of stretching his leg back out 1mm a day :open_mouth:

This morning my body continues to confirm that “skip meals, just keep drinking” is no longer the option it once was.

En route to Seaford to do hill walking, innit:

Was a bicycle stand in a former life.

Suffering with man flu for the past week and watching the work stack up. Just about see over the worst of this now and nearly caught up.

Got a great boost today as it looks like we’ve won a piece of work to help redesign neuromuscular disease services ready to integrate some ground breaking new treatments which will modify the disease and enable children and young adults to walk again. Really wanted this one so feeling like celebrating even though Hel won’t take me anywhere with the lurgy I’ve got.

You wouldn’t say that if you’d had to eat the prepared meals…
