Today I have mainly been V5.0 (Part 3)

I want to go there for the puffins. Keep meaning to but not succeed yet.

Next time you’re in the NE I would recommend a trip to The Farne Islands.

Billy Shiel runs the boat trips from Seahouses and it’s a wonderful experience.

Enjoying a “Greek breakfast” (espresso and shitty cigarettes) in my mate’s sunny Bavarian garden.

Came in yesterday. There was a medical emergency in the row in front of me so we got priority landing and came in very hot, cutting the journey time from 1hr30 to 1hr10. Convenient for me, not so nice for the lady who was very unwell. The cabin crew were excellent but they were also lucky that there was a doctor a couple of rows back.

My friend has a client lunch today so I’ll be killing time shappen (say it with a Norn Irish accent) for the stuff that’s tricky to get in the UK and testing the various watering holes in the Altstadt.

I also plan on looking at a watch. The word “grail” is highly overused but I’ve been sniffing around this model since the late 90s. However it is also many, many of my favourite Euros.

It’s the local Volksfest this weekend so I think we’re doing beer and pork tonight and the classic car rally on Sunday, plus the biergarten tomorrow night.

The weather is set fair for the weekend and generally speaking there is very little to complain about.

It’s also probably pretty obvious that I woke early this morning

Still in Bala?

No, this is part way between Wrexham and Chester.

Walked to the neighbouring village pub as usual.
They had their monthly Car Club. Three wonderful beasts were present;
Jag XK120 in maroon. Gorgeous but didn’t photograph well.

Jag XKE (a regular, but bonnet was open)…

And an XJ220…

Just beautiful. The (justly proud) owners were refreshingly accommodating too.

The “car rally” turned out to be more “anything with wheels”.

These were just a few of the things that rolled past. Great fun.

Continuing the removal of the previous residents mad wired systems. It’s only taken 21 years.

They had TV cables in all four bedrooms, plus associated ducting, junction boxes etc.

Thankfully aerial guy understood the assignment of “please just sort this bullshit out” so we’re now lighter by several miles of coax cable.

I have inherited coax cables into every room in the house except the bathroom.
There is an amplifier signal distributor thing in the loft. The link from the ariel to the distribution box doesn’t work. I have never used any of it.
Everything comes from Sky dish and internet.
