I did look in the car park for an Audi A2
When parenting backfires.
Today at the boot sale I gave FOL 1 and 2, £10 each to go and find something cool. FOl.2 returned with a hand made pillow and a cute little figurine.
…Meanwhile FOL1 retuned with a spray can and a fuck off mallet.
…Quietly proud but in the shit with Mrs. MWS
I want to see the next move and art
Gill picked up an interesting watercolour from the carboot last week. By someone called Gordon Reid who I’m still trying to find out about. Several possibilities.
It appears to be of several people who’ve perhaps been evicted from somewhere. Anyhow, we both like it. I’ll try to take a better picture than this.
The GTV is lovely in silver. The odd thing about these cars is that it’s only once you’ve seen them in the flesh that you realise just how small they are and quite how exquisite the lines are. There’s no bad angle to look at them from. That particular one looks to have been lowered too.
Are there any gallery labels, dates, or handwritten pencil titles hidden on the back board or along the paper margins? (Might need to look with it out of the frame)
A man after my own heart. My boot sale tenner got me this
Things to hit other things with.
Now through security at Manchester Airport for my flight to Hong Kong. Adjusting to the time zone change is going to be interesting for such a short trip, but thankfully I have a decent quantity of melatonin for the main flight.
The US government once proposed flying me to California for one day (land Thurs, do a day’s work on Fri, catch the Fri red-eye home). I tried to work out a way of keeping my body on GMT but couldn’t really.
In the end I talked them into booking the homeward flight for the Monday and out of Chicago. I spent the weekend with my bro in Saint Joe MI.

Went to see the Marilyn Monroe exhibition at the national portrait gallery yesterday. (100yrs since she was born.)
Surprisingly few of the more iconic images were on display, the vast majority I had no recollection of seeing before. Well worth a visit.
Wondered around Camden afterwards, a good 15yrs since we were last there, food stalls everywhere. I wouldnt be surprised if the vast majority are own by 1 or 2 large businesses. Lovely day for it nevertheless.
