Same problem here, drum shaft was trashed, plastic tub was fine though. Had already got the bearing set and tub seal kit to sort out but returned, can’t complain after 18 years TBF. I had replaced the drain pump a couple of times and the heater element at least once but like to be able to boast about how long my ‘Trigger’s Broom has lasted’
Me too, when possible. I’m still using a really simple tumble drier (Creda) and fridge-freezer (Electrolux) both acquired when C and I moved in to a part-furnished rental place in 1986. The tumble drier was new (has since had two new belts) but the fridge-freezer was being disposed of by the previous owner as it didn’t fit into his new kitchen. He thought it was ‘perhaps 10 years old’. The fridge thermostat has failed twice. The latest one is disappointing - the temp cycles between 1C-2C and 9C-10C which is too wide a range really, but it’s the second one I’ve fitted (two different third-party suppliers) within a month and they both look identical and cheaply and crudely made. I fear they’re from the same manufacturer and that they are all that’s now available.

Last Friday a guy charged up to the bar I was waiting at, tried to shout his order in front of me even though I had already clearly been waiting.
“Two cokes with vodka in them?”
Who the f asks for a coke with vodka?
I’d make the once a year lot wait at a different end of the bar preferably in a different pub.
Last leg of the journey, just got to get over to Fetlar now, followed by the worst part of the job - unloading the car and putting it all away

Well, I survived. Bit of a non-event for me/us.
Can’t say the same for the two donuts who decided to head butt escalators (each about 1 hour apart.)
