Today I have mainly been V5.0 (Part 3)

Charlotte told BBC London that she and her partner had resorted to defrosting ice in the freezer when they needed water initially

Read that this morning and thought ‘attention seeking twat’. She will be dining out on that for weeks.

Particularly enjoyed the implication they were doing it as a team, presumably in shifts, like nuclear site workers babysitting control rods going into a reactor core.

‘Then we decided to go the shops instead’

“Do you remember the famine of '25?”

No!

Was she trying to melt the ice with her face, her lips seem to have frozen in some pose that is more duck’s arse than duck face?

That’s the bottled water distribution site (you can see it in the background).

Sainsbury’s car park, bloody miles away. I’ve been there once for some sort of health check in a portakabin.

That’ll be the result of her drinking her own pee.

I shouldn’t joke. Being without water in a first-world country is a disgrace and I’m bloody glad it isn’t happening to me.

Aren’t Waitrose providing water bowsers for all the loyalty card holders of Dulwich?

C’est trĂ©s Dulwich, innit

Going up

for the view

then back down to cook dinner for some friends

Where abouts? Looks like Corsica or a Spanish island?

Not so exotic - above Calpe

One of my favourite places in the world. That looks like it was taken over towards Altea.

From the Olta plateau

About to go out for a french lunch to celebrate my father in law’s 90th. I’d be surprised if we are out of there in 5 hours. He has been using this restaurant for the last 50 years, will be a lovely celebration with friends and staff. I expect him to have a nap for a couple of hours in the middle. My basic french will be put to the test!

Don’t forget to ask for tomato sauce.
Remember the look of disdain we got when we asked for it in northern France

Just migrated all my data from my old Mac mini M2 to my new M4 one. Apple do make this process so seamless. Picked up in Japan for basically ÂŁ460 tax free and with an excellent exchange rate.

Will have a M2 256gb 8gb of ram for sale in next few days if any interest. If so PM direct so we don’t clog up this thread. Already have two people interested subject to me working out price, so suggest taken for now.

Taking advantage of some decent weather to finish up early spring maintenance of the front and back of the house.

The final part today was sweeping up at the front, and to dispel the myth that Londoners don’t know their neighbours it took way longer than it should have done because I kept having to stop to chat with five different lots of people.

The lady from across the way (who won’t see 80 again) turned out to be a big fan of Finisterre

and seemed genuinely miffed that she hadn’t seen the grey and orange fleece that I was wearing :grinning:
