Today I have mainly been V5.0 (Part 3)

Having fun with geek stuff (many here may not consider it fun though )

Few projects at work are so delayed that the hardware purchased for them has gone ‘end of life’ so grabbed a few bits of kit that are being binned.

Stripping out the 64GB sticks of RAM from two of the UCS blades and 24x 800GB SSD drives from a netapp for my home server.

Server now has 1.5 TB of RAM and 10 TB of Raid 10 storage

Cracking shot that TBH :ok_hand:

He mentioned something about his regency dandy days and being a muse for George IV… He’s still got it.

I’m sure I saw him 3 or 4 times in that projection mapped history film they were showing on the Devonport Column. Definitely in the image of Napoleon on the Bellerophon. He wasn’t young even then.

Stu has been avant garde since his wait for the scribes to record

Out for a bike ride early doors today. Stopped off at Underfall Yard for coffee before a spin down the Avon Gorge.

Went to the beech - A few moments after this pic they decided to race - with hardly anyone around it seemed like an unusually free and life affirming moment.

FoL#2 Lauren occasionally gets a few of her mates together to take their horses to Ainsdale beach (where Red Rum used to get a run out).

When they go for it, the pounding hooves on the firm sand sound like Armageddon, you can actually feel them coming from a fair distance away.

It’s quite an experience to have them storm past at full pelt on either side of you.

This was very much the effect. Natural power.

Vitamin Beer at the seaside :+1:

In like a lion…” rather surprsingly turns out to mean “warm and golden” this week :open_mouth:

Did five or six miles walking, and it’s been glorious all day - T-shirt weather - and Max and Tara are loving it.
