Been on a very interesting tour of Wrigley Field
Well it was yesterday, but I went for an interview with a hifi dealers.

Are we lining up for Real Reviews on AA now then?
I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry on reading this news, so I compromised, and went for a shit
Did you tell them that you run the worlds biggest independent audio/coffee/pens/mattress/shoes forum this side of mumsnet
If they see this place, he’s signing-on for sure.
Or a local hifi dealer will start selling horns
The weather was looking lively (and damp) for some of today so we headed inland and up into the hills to a nice little town called Monchique. The clouds and mist clinging to the trees gave it the feel of an Indian hill station. Quite the contrast from the previous evening on the razz in Lagos.
Traditionally dressed mannequin in the supermarket.
Liked this car. Toyota?
There was a splendid workshop seemingly specialising in taxidermy. A couple of guys at the back seemed to be dealing with a huge fresh looking deer’s head of some kind.
Wedding imminent
Some kind of water lifting mechanism from a well.
FoL#2 the much travelling one had decided he wanted to head further into the hills to visit an ancient hot springs and bath house called Fonte Santa so as the weather had lifted a bit we set off. We hiked up a pretty remote valley criss crossing a stream that had terrapins and a couple of kingfishers also spotting lizards and some large wolf spiders. We were marvelling at the array of trees and plants we’d never seen previously. The old bath house comprised 3 rooms two with baths in which were fed by small pipes with water that must’ve been >40C but the small stone baths were more like typical swimming pool temp. Very refreshing though and a lovely strange quiet spot.
Bread oven?
The whole valley had a lovely faint scent of eucalyptus. A great little excursion possibly missed by many who visit the region. We saw an eagle on the drive up there too.
The white car is a Ford Taunus.
Was reminded of this at first glance
Back from a weekend trip to the seaside. Went to Holkham. Then popped by the sea shanty festival up the road and saw the Sheringham shanty men in a church. Was quite nice.
