Today I have mainly been V5.0

Had mine yesterday, apart from the sensation of a small bruise on my arm, no side effects noted.

Feeling a bit crap with a bit of headache, don’t know if that’s good or bad

'tis working, body fighting invasive bugs and building up immunity (ish ).

Last night with friends eating drinking and having a bloody good catch up.

Perhaps rather too much wine consumed…

The older I get, the less convinced I am that that’s really a thing.

The autumn colour is amazing at the moment.

It really is, I found myself just stopping and staring today. This valley is topped by pine Forrest but as you get down towards the water the contrast with the Oaks / Beeches / maples and others is remarkable.

Today is Christmas e-commerce day. It would probably have been next Sunday but the wife will be away by then.

DIY beer advent calendar ordered. Downsides: no surprises. Upsides: no surprise peanut butter stout.

Meat (the local butcher is all e’ed up) and Cheese (Neal’s Yard) later.

Where? Cardinham? We saw similar at Tamar trails yesterday. Is it my imagination or is it all a month late this year? Lack of frosts maybe?

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking when I was out for a walk yesterday. Just seems a couple of weeks behind, I guess because it’s been a warm year and it’s still quite warm for Nov

Bingo! Definitely late this year, some of the Acers I’ve seen in the last week or so are just incredible. The Peacocks of autumn…never think to take a picture at the right bloody time!

I thought this too.

Well this time last year it was -15 c I particularly remember this as we were without heating for over a week. This year we have had 2 light frosts, -2 c ish. Daytime temps have rarely been below double figures and at the moment it’s 13 c which is crazy for late November.

I was over in Vienna for work late September and it was 30c for the entire week I was there (and the week before), the locals were saying that year on year the temps are fairly consistent and in sept it should be around 15c.

I think within a few years we’ll lose winter and it will effectively be autumn from October through to March

After a couple of years of rampaging wildly (my accident, Claire’s illness) my brambles are now being chopped back and what’s left’s being tied into some new wires. Then I’ll think about the bed and the ‘grass ’. Here’s the tying back half done

I might be mis-remembering but I wasn’t expecting to see new buds appearing already.

I thought that the Nov/Dec/Jan chill suppressed them until they couldn’t wait any longer (so to speak) and they poked their heads out in Feb ?

Was called a knob jockey today. Man thought I had stolen his parking spot.
