Today I have mainly been V5.0

Small angry sort of a bloke. Was on the phone to me parents as he was knocking on the window wanting to know why I stole his spot.

Hope his day got a bit better.

Was going to buy some shirts and socks at m&s and get one of them advent calendars for the wife. They had run out of those.
Spent my pennies on Decathlon socks and things in L’Occitane.
Going to Germany tomorrow for a couple of weeks. Wifey popping over for the weekend and we will have a wander around Cologne and the Christmas markets. Should be nice.

Lost 10.5 pounds over the last couple of months. Put most of that on in Germany over the summer.

Visiting my 67 year old sister who is in the middle of a major mental health crisis. She is experiencing suicidal thoughts, myself and my brothers are attempting to wrangle her useless husband and their children (only informed today) and attempting to formulate a plan for her. She is receiving visits from a community mental health worker and was until recently being seen by the crisis team.

She apparently wrote a goodbye note last week and intended to step in front of a train.

I’ve had better Sundays.

Enjoying a brief spell with this after some tlc over the weekend, now very much back in tune

V early AN JP PSE 2A3 v2 power amp, PSE 2A3 valves, with 6072A and 5687 input and driver. Early enough that it looks hand built inside, and doesnt yet say Neiro on the back.

Lovely looking (and surely sounding) thing.

Spent far too much of yesterday sofa shopping.

Fuck :astonished:

Going to have to up my budget.

Is the input effectively the same as an Ongaku and does it have NFB?

But, but, sofa shopping for what?

Maybe a sofa??

Or maybe not??

OIC, shopping for a sofa rather than lolling about on the sofa while shopping.

Continue ignoring me.

No, it is 6072A srpp cap coupled to 5687 cathode follower with both parts in parallel, so is quite low sensitivity, which would suit a high gain premp

Afaik the Ongaku circuit has 6072a srpp then 5687 gain stage then 5687 cathode follower

No NFB.

Haha
I was out for 6 hours, drove about 80 miles and visited 7 furniture shops.

It certainly helped me realise what I don’t want
I am mainly judging the shops by the qaulity of coffee served,

Unfortunately as my old Mum used to tell me, I have champagne tastes and shandy pockets!
But the mass advertised cheap stuff really is crap

Come into the smoke and take a walk down TCR?

I’d default to Heals.

TBH I’d default to Fritz Hansen but they’re no longer there

Best coffee was here

Made in UK, lifetime guarantee, fabrics woven in Lancashire, really lovely place, but some of the fabrics could double the price of the sofa!
Cheapest fabrics and sale prices meant they are still a stretch above Parker Knoll and G plan etc

there are a lot of very nice sofa manufacturers in the buildings next to Definitive Audio.

Yes saw them online

And realised that could be a very expensive trip indeed. :grinning:

You just need one very comfortable and reassuringly expensive chair. Let the guests sit on stools.

I was in Heals on Sunday. They’re currently refurbishing floors 1 and above so everything is on G and LG floors only. It’s still a huge display though as they’ve taken over the old Habitat space next door.

We were in there (we realised for the first time since covid) a couple of weeks ago.

Indeed, the Habitat takeback was a surprise.
