Today I have mainly been V5.0

Tales of S American football on the Common on Sundays. Does it still happen?

Every sport under the sun from jumpers-for-goalposts to, err, quidditch. This was just an extreme example IMO.

The nieces used to play “spot the flicky blonde hair jogger” as we drove through  The only thing the locals lack is self awareness.

Used to go to the S American football for the incredible bbg and then down to Wandsworth Common for the Caribbean football. Then back up to the municipal bowling greens for an afternoon sesh of, er, bowls. Usually, the Windmill was en route

We did the Windmill a couple of weeks ago, and it’s on the cards for SiL #1’s birthday next weekend because it’s about equidistant for the three sisters.

Clapham is an odd place. Young, white and wealthy :man_shrugging:

Not wrong. Used to have an edge but, I guess, the ££££s have fecked that

In the 60’s it was rough and property was dirt cheap.

Still seemed a bit of a toilet in the early '90s.

Same goes for Battersea. Sorry, South Chelsea.

Packing, completion in 2-weeks so getting there. The hired crates make it so much easier!
As we had cleared the garden room ahead of doing the house improvements, its great to have the space to put all the packed stuff into!

Regretting reacting to being pushed by a little twat in town. I ended up wearing my freshly made black coffee and now have minor scalding on my chest/stomach. I was also holding a record bag - thankfully the records are undamaged - he was trying to kick that too. Thankfully someone stepped in before any of the covers got creased or I strangled the shitbag.

Just back home from doing lunch service. Now intend to get lightly inebriated and try and avoid the children.

Eastern White Cedar, don’t know the age of these particular trees but some in this area have been aged at 800+ years . . .

Funny, I don’t like standing on ladders or scaffolding but I can handle cliff tops

None of this for me though
