I’m an island or two behind. At Burravoe on Yell now, in glorious sunshine (heavy rain forecast for Weds night and Thursday tho’). Think this is the ruin of the Methodist chapel.
Not sure whether it had much effect

I’ve never heard of the Wild Angels, but thanks to their guitarist for starting the journey of the campsite building roof to Burravoe.
Wonderful picture
I hope you’re paying a visit to @pmac while you’re in the vicinity ![]()
(He’s got a full fridge)
And numerous people fitting freezers.
The day after tomorrow
Took a early ferry up to Unst today, to walk at Hermaness before the rains came (which they now have). The gannetries are not quite as packed as I remember them, but still a lot of birds there. Photo from one of the Soustra crags.
Here comes trouble…
who fortunately seems to have recovered from the shock of yesterday’s violent thunderstorm despite being indoors throughout.
SPLASH!!!
Didn’t take long. It’s a favourite spot where two rivers meet. Not sure why there was a big white bucket there though.
Where?
Lovely view from your lounge.
Gidleigh Park?
We went there last year - v nice
We went a few years ago for one of the finest dining experiences I’ve ever had. Not lunch, not dinner but a cake buffet! My inner Gloop wanted to stage dive the trifle and mosh on the patisserie tables. I suspect not doing so will be one of many dying regrets.
I quoted that to my wife and ended up being chastised with it wasn’t french patisserie and it wouldn’t be such a bold move near Tavistock
Wouldn’t fit in the back of @A_Touch_of_Cloth 's new truck, obvs. ![]()
Touristing around Unst. Wondered what this was when I drove past yesterday. Unfortunately my car is green.
Then spent an hour and a half in one of my favourite museums, the Unst Boat Haven
