Today I have mainly been V5.0

I would love to see all the boats but it must be about time for sausage rolls and springers?

At the ferry terminal hoping that the Fetlar ferry will actually run. Phoned the company earlier and was told that it would be.

We have a small group of like-minded people in the village, who get together regularly.
It is known as the “5-7 Club”.
If it was up to me it would be the “1700-1900 Club”, but that’s just me.

This ALWAYS entails collecting at a predetermined abode, supplying nibbles, beer, wine, and Prosecco, comfy chairs, and letting conversation take a life of it’s own.

Tonight was one such get-together. There were 7 of us from veeeery diverse backgrounds.

It was fucking awesome !

The ferry crew say that we’ll go but they’ve got to do a run across to Yell and back first, so I suspect we may be a little bit late.

It certainly is Mike. We’ve been doing this every 6-8 weeks for the last couple of years, and I’m amazed at the different interactions.
There are 2 wine lovers (me and an Octogenarian), a 92 y.o. independent woman who has insightful opinions on most things, a couple of politically aware individuals (me and the 92 Y.O.), a farming couple with very conservative views (who voted Brexit but have since realised that they were wrong), plus 3 musically orientated people ( Narelle, me, and the Wine Guy’s wife).

The conversations are fiery, passionate, emotional, but always civilised.

It’s so refreshing.

Sounds like a very stimulating, frienldy mix / event and, of course, the longer it goes on, the more interesting and meaningful it becomes.

Think they had the warp drive on for that crossing! We’re on the way.

That. And the wine consumption.

The Farmer was the host and provided a couple of bottles of generic Cotes du Rhone. One of the others brought a Cotes du Rhone Village, and Wine Guy brought a Châteauneuf-du-Pape because he knew I’d be there.
I brought along a Prosecco and Sauvignon Blanc for the Ladies, as I had hosted last time.

The Reds were consumed in that order.
However, it was only me and Wine Guy who had the C-d-P :+1:

Some vagrant has turned up and is already plotting to raid the newly stocked fridge apparently.

The lengths some people will go to for a pasty.

And a sausage roll.

And a curry.

And homemade rolls.

Take plenty of record shots, he may not be the real thing at all and turn out to be a domestic escapee.
