Today I have mainly been V5.0

What did her opponent look like?

At my daughter’s new place tiling. Nowhere near ready for the kitchen which arrives in the morning :weary:

I used to wonder if it’d be a good idea to encourage young children to eat lots of sweets then, when their teeth all fell out, you could blame the sweets and put them off eating sweets as adults. Amazed it never caught on :slightly_smiling_face:

Looking at my diary :grimacing:

It’s been a quiet couple of months but from now until basically the end of the year it’s downhill all the way.

I’m going to a gig tomorrow night. The line-up is pretty indeterminate, it’s basically Alex from the Orb’s mates. Allegedly 4pm - 4am I’ll probably toddle along around 6pm and see who’s on for a few hours.

Al fresco LPA-signing party on Sunday, which I’m interpreting as me having not one but three very good cooks making tasty nibbles :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

We’re planning on smashing some crab in Whitstable the following Saturday. If it’s in season - does crab have a season? Tender vittles anyway.

Northern Ireland the following Wednesday I think.

Back, gig, then directly onwards to Hamburg and Berlin and on and on. We / I have definitely overdone it.

Was watching a fishing thing on TV the other night and it said that crab season was April to November with the best being September when the crabs have fed themselves up. That was in Cornwall but I assume the east coast would be the same.

Thank you. So we’ve timed it pretty well.

There’s little better in life than a cold cracked crab with chips and a pint of oyster stout.

Apart from perhaps the little crabs in Venice, fished when they’ve just shed their shell, deep fried & eaten whole. With carafes of prosecco :ok_hand:

While Kent may not be the place for it (and Whitstable is more about oysters I would think), it is also samphire season. I could live on that stuff.

If there’s salt-marsh, there’s samphire. Lovely raw.

Trying to rile up Rush twitter.

I have no idea why, and I’ve had very limited success.

Not surprised, they split up 9 years ago

Love samphire - had it loads since we moved to Norfuk, it’s widely available around here.

Best to wash it if you PYO as you never know what’s on the tide :poop: - though I’ve gambled on it after rain with no ill-effects.

Dismantling old furniture and preparing the spare room for decorating. This was languishing in there. Think I will plumb it back into the system tonight after an extended test of the Gato.

Edit: I had forgotten how heavy it is.
