That is dynamic pricing software for you!
These are flush also (just a different head shape)
Yup. Sorry. When I bought them there was â1 pair leftâ. Which I guess meant 1 pair left at that price.
I have a pair of the Lindstrom 8000s, but mine are the ârelievedâ version where the cutting part is ground away a bit to allow the tool to reach into tighter holes.

Just ordered a Katz Moses dovetail jig. Was a toss up between this or a David Barron one, the Katz has a straight edge guide which won me over.
Looking forward to experimenting with it.
Looks cool.
Photos of experiments please.
I reckon we need a look what i made in my shed thread.
Wut??
Shed.
Christ knows tbh.
Heâs got a router and a tablesawâŠ

HNT Gordon smoothing plane turned up last week with a few others but this one in particular is very nice to use.
For stuck screws. At this price Iâm tempted, just in case. Vessel make awesome screwdrivers and the only ones I can find that do Philips JIS screws, which are different from standard Phillips screws.
Hi guys,
I know there are a fair few woodworking gurus here, Iâm after a bit of advice.
Having started to do more woodworking, its clear that my current range of old saws are not in the best of condition.
Most I have Inherited from my grandfather and are rusy, broken/loose handles or just plain worn out.
Now, my main requirement is at least a new saw to get me going, for use on mainly my next small woodworking project, the enclosure for a source selector (plywood) but also with my new speaker project in mind. I also want to make (finally) a wooden base for my Decare Zen.

I have seen this place recommended on here, and is somewhat local so it would be nice to support them.
As a starter âkitâ, would you say the following looks like a good buy?

There is alwaysâŠ

That starter kit looks as good as any if you want to cut long mitres. For stock prep on plywood justr buy a trade hardpoint saw from B&Q, cost about fifteen quid and will last a year if used heavily, buy another when needed. Donât go spending a fortune on a big panel saw, they are bettered by the modern hardpoints.
For smaller work then do consider one of these
https://www.workshopheaven.com/shogun-250mm-precision-dozuki-with-spare-blade.html
I use them for everything from square ending small stock to cutting dovetails and ripping saw cut veneers. mine lasted a couple of years before a new blade was needed.
one note of caution on Jap saws, they cut on ther pull not the push, the blades are thin, hard and brittle and a misplaced âthrustâ will soon see the end of a blade chipped off. You can still use it, just a caution to remember not to push hard on them, it serves no purpose.
Thanks Bob! Iâve been doing some reading but not used any of that type before.
I plan on picking up a new generic Hardpoint saw from Screwfix anyway.
I was planning on getting one of these, as I have 3x Railway sleepers to shorten! And looks ideal
For the finer details, and smaller work as you say, this kit looks reasonable:

Cheers, Rob
Iâd be tempted to take that up to 7tpi if tackling big lumps like sleepers, same price
when using the double sided rip/cross cut saw, use it shallow. Dont go pulling the cross cut teeth through a rip cut. The cross cut teeth will be set wider and youâll end up knackering them
Thanks Bob, appreciated
I think a visit up to Workshop Heaven is in order at some point!
Take a large cheque with you:) Remember you only need half the tools you think you do, the annoying thing is you will only figure this once you have bought all the tools you donât need
