Tools you have bought/desire

They were £12 from Screwfix a couple of months back! (I got a set at the time)

Toolstation had them for £9.99  - i still couldn’t buy them as they didn’t match the Wera and OCD stuff

Lol.

I’ve discovered PB Swiss now for screwdrivers. Make everything else seem a bit meh. :weary:

I want a mitre saw. Way too much choice.

I can recommend this one, very good indeed.

That and the 12" were high up on the list.

I liked the look of this one too.

I’ve got the 12" version and the stand below is great.

Get a bigger one than you think you need

ITs for 3x2s, so I need an 8"

Is this for the shed rebuild?

To start with, then its to go in the shed.

I bought mine over 10 years ago and it is still going strong, it has done a LOT of work in that time and is still on the original brushes!

Buy a big one once.

Have the same but older version at work for the occasional job

Decking, laminate, stud work etc

Essential tool

It depends really, I got the 10" one as I already had a 12" table saw which does most of the tasks I need with larger timbers.

I have a 10" table saw that is ok, it doesn’t get a lot of use because it has to be taken outside. Hopefully I can figure out a way to build an outfeed table or similar.

The current shed is 10’x16’. It’s now half cleared and we have a skip coming in a week or so to finish it off.

Then I’m going to see if I can extend the pad, probably with paving slabs. I might be able to get it up to 12’x20’. Only limitation is the 2.5m height really.

Instead of slabs I have a cement mixer you can borrow.

Concrete is expensive! (also lazy). The current pad, is actually on another much bigger concrete pad. should be ok.

not if you mix it yourself
