Turntable *unt - cheapies needed

I meant hunt of course, what did you think I meant!

So I’m on the hunt for budget vinyl playback solution. I’m minded to buy the systemdek IIx on PFM, but then I gotta find an arm, maybe new arm board etc etc, it’s a touch faffy.

Suspect more cost effective to get something that’s already in one piece.

Anyone got anything they’re looking to move. Vintage is ok, modern is OK, as long as it’s not a total shit can, and can hold a tune.

Budget mostly unspecified as I’m keen to see what’s out there, but definitely less than a grand! Preferably much less!

Needs to be gotten to me in Edinburgh, or somewhere on the m6 / a1 as I’ll be traversing both in December.

TLDR: show me your cheap 12 inch spinners

I already had one. I have considered an older model as a possibility.

Worth considering a Reloop Turn 5 - it’s a great turntable.

To be honest I have fck all knowledge of turntables. I have a Roksan radius. Fantastic looking, fck knows if it sounds better than streaming. I’m a gig guy, my ears are shot. Still love putting on a record though!

Yeah I’m just trying to save as much cash as possible. After the “purge”! I need to have some form of deck, or nearly 1000 LP’s are wasting a lot of space.

But trying to do champagne taste on beer budget.

I bought my Roksan for £500. Figured I could get the same money back if i chose to sell. Fckin love it, it’s an objet d’art.

Yeah there’s a radius uni pivot on eBay for about that money I think

The unipivot can go for that kind of money. I’ve got an origin live upgraded rega. I want a unipivot to restore it to factory

Not a fan of unipivots myself

There’s one near me that has the wonky arm lol

I’m shit at vinyl. Just like the sound.

Unipivots make me feel like I’m pissed, even when I’m not!

maybe not for me then. I like stuff that works.

Unipivots tend to track better on warped records etc.
Kuzma make a great Unipivot.
Cuing up is slightly different as they won’t have a finger lift.

Japanman is disappoint

Radius is a great TT, I’ve had two of them in wood and clear plastic.

Just wish you fuckers would STFU about them as I’ve been watching the auction on eBay ready to snipe.

Well you may be competing against me in that snipe

I have owned at least 5 unipivots and they all had finger lifts.

My old clearaudio was a quasi unipivot (weird magnetic floating assembly), and it had finger lift.
