And, if memory serves, my younger sister would go for a riding lesson & help out in some stables at Fen End every Saturday. It was nice there then. Looks like HS2 is passing fairly close by to the North if aerial pics are anything to go by.
Claire and I had an offer accepted on this yesterday. Now itās running around like mad painting and sorting out all of the things Iāve had on the list so we can sell this place asap. Not as pretty as the current house but Claireās mum canāt do stairs anymore and is staying with us quite a bit due to her condition. New place will suit our needs perfectly and I wonāt miss the Ā£500 a month heating bills on a 180 year old stone house with zero insulation. Now where do I put the HiFi?
Home report says approximately 45 years old, however the bit on the right viewing from the front is an extension. Garage, kitchen and rear of reception room was done around 2008.
Iām guessing thatās where it might end up but currently Iām angling for the bedroom with the doors onto rear garden as hifi/ office. I probably wonāt win that battle but would feel emasculated if I didnāt at least put up a fight.
Dunno if my HiFi is up to bake off standards. I do a mean fry up though, local butchers homemade sausage, smoked bacon and black pudding are top notch.
Very aware of the flight paths Simon. As somebody who lived and worked in Richmond and Fulham during the Concorde era, thatās never worried us. In Adelaide they tend to fly far enough north of the area to not really be noticed.
Itās a shame that we donāt arrive until the end of September or we could have caught up.
