Danny Baker has said that ‘back in the day’ all the promo albums came into the radio stations and most of them were immedaitely grabbed by the staffers and sold to local dealers.
I have quite a few of them, I don’t think it affects the value of the record one way or the other
Agreed. I have quite a few “white label” albums. Promos were once a thing.

Depends on the album and how collectable it is. Promos can and do fetch a premium for some albums.
A Paranoid promo fetched double the asking of a first press in similar condition.
