Just arrived, and beautifully packaged -
Couple of scotchers
X.
Bought the new Primal Scream Album today from Rough Trade in Denmark Street. Apparently opened two weeks ago. It’s only small with new/promoted stock downstairs on the walls, and usual record shop bins upstairs. Feels like it has less stock than the nearby Fopp, but did have a small section with signed stuff.
However another bricks and mortar store alongside the guitar/gear shops is good to see.
Shock
At the Edinburgh “hifi show”, or as I prefer to call it, two dealers six rooms, they had some vinyl going cheap on a £4 each or four for £10, which was kinda mad.
So I picked this pile up for ten quid
Ecosse cables were also there with bins full of cables at 70% off, so picked up a couple of useful things.
You’ll hate that Deodato album David, it’s utter pish, but I’ll be happy to take it off your hands as I’m such a kind soul.
Yeah I thought I might too…. I mean, it’s a glorified “best of”
Tbh if there’s too much overlap with other deodato I’ve already got, you can have it!
I suspect I’d be in the same boat as you but thank you kind Sir
For £4 it was worth a punt. The Ben Sidran is unexpected. I wasn’t expecting vocals, in an oddly chet baker style of events. As it’s NM condition the haul was worth it for that
Nice
Not bought but saw it in a shop and thought it looked like a potential soundtrack to casual alcoholism
I have the nighthunter
Ella Flame and the Nighthawks – Avenue Of Sorrows 2 x 7 inch, hopefully in the post. Finally found this “EP” after looking intermittently for several years
Here it is on Spotty
and it/they arrived today, nice gatefold package
EDIT - got this reply from Stephanie O (aka Ella Flame) on FB: " thank you, and well done for finding a copy. It’s still yet to be released, so you managed to track down one of the rare copies that’s sneaked out into the world."
