What I'm watching (Series 2)

Just finished the Bear season 3:

It continues the strange momentum — deepening everything all the time. It leans into quiet, the mundane, unspoken weight of personal histories, then jumps to screaming tension. Parts of a few episodes roll out in near real-time, it’s not something many shows could pull off but its very immersive.

That said when emotion hits — it’s both barrells. Several scenes were so intimate & raw, they feel unscripted, more like lived experience. It’s in these moments the show becomes something rare: a series that trusts its audience to sit in the silence, to notice the details, to feel the tension build in a glance or a pause.

The cast remains its greatest asset. Across the board, the performances are nuanced and deeply human. Characters aren’t just developed — they are continually revealed, layer by layer, with literary precision. These people feel real. You end up giving a shit. You flinch. You root for them.

This show operates in a very different way to a great deal of what is out there (Or what’s been done before)
